Hello! Thank you for visiting our website. Here is a little background on us. We, Tonk and Julie Chester, are the owners of the "Best Hotel in Southern New Mexico", the Fiddler's Inn. We are home-grown Carlsbad natives with a passion for our faith, family, friends and community. We have three beautiful children that keep us motivated to live life each day, counting our blessings. Tonk grew up on a ranch outside of Carlsbad where he learned the values of hard work, lessons of the land, and to play the fiddle in a Blue Grass gospel band! Julie grew up a small town girl with a love for the arts and desire to share beauty with the world. 

Together, we share a love for travel. We've been all over the world, seen the most amazing sights... But none can compare to the warm feeling of home that we get right here in Carlsbad, NM. We would like to share that feeling of "home" with you. There is no place in town that compares with The Fiddler's Inn. We've brought together the nostalgia of a 100 year old home with the comforts of a modern day 5-Star establishment.
